Vorhang auf! Welcome to the 2023 edition of the German Film Festival! Palace in collaboration with German Films is thrilled to present our biggest and boldest programme yet.
This year the festival showcases an excellent selection direct from the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), highlighted in the programme with the iconic Berlinale bear. To complement the Berlin experience our retrospective MUSIC, ART AND CHAOS: A SONIC TRANSMISSION FROM BERLIN will transport you back in time to an era where music history was made.
The festival is also proud to feature an outstanding number of female-directed films which you find not only in the sidebar FRAUEN AM WERK: FOCUS ON FEMALE DIRECTORS, but also throughout the entire programme.
